Roads in Battersea, Wandsworth and Putney Targeted in Pothole Blitz

Roads in Battersea, Wandsworth and Putney will undergo repairs this month. This initiative is coming during the council's blitz on potholes.

Wandsworth Council undertakes a major road repair project and will be inspecting every street. Crews will be filling the potholes in St Mary's Park, Wandsworth Common and West Putney. Other areas, such asEarlsfield, Nightingale and West Hill wards are also being targeted. The higher than usual number of potholes in the roads are due to the sever winter, according to road specialists. Since the start of the project last month, 441 potholes have been filled, with more to come, according to the cleaners in Wandsworth. The investment for the repairs will be quite substantial. An additional £6.4m will go into the road repair budget.
