Saturday’s Weybridge Running Festival in Whiteley Village
Saturday’s Weybridge Running Festival in Whiteley Village has attracted more than 250 runners.
Theodore Patel won the 5k race in 19 minutes, 17.89 seconds, while Paul Rodgers was 1st in the 10k event, clocking 35:46.51 – very respectable times, the cleaners in Wandsword said.
The men’s Alm race went to Matthew Rea with a time of 20:00.71 and the women were led home by Clair Haslett (27:41.65).
The head of fund-raising, Richard Exworthy said, that the festival was a fantastic and commendable event.
He added that the hundreds of people who came to Whiteley Village have enjoyed the morning, charity running across the wonderful cottages and acres of beautiful woodland.
Mr Exworthy expressed his gratitude to the to the businesses who supported the event and to everyone who took part. He also said that the planing of the next running event is already in progress.
